you can go on open term 1GB for $49+gst for Vodafone data plan. And FYI, you don't get free VMC card anymore even if you are on 24-months term, you will have to pay $149+gst for the card instead of $399+gst.
Anyone can call Vodafone as long as they are on account (not preay) and request to be placed on the 1GIG plan for $49 on any MSISDN (number) Remember its prorated when its first added so half way through your billing period you will get 500meg
