I cannot believe that basic functions are not available through the VFX advanced service. After all, Xnet charge a premium for them. According to David of Xnet, however, the folowing setup is just not possible and I have to manually set the number of rings every morning and every evening. His suggestion called to mind the old expression: "You do not buy a guard dog to spend your time running around the property barking at potential burglars." It is pretty useless having a premium time-management system offered by the advanced VFX service that does not permit basic time management.
I also cannot believe I am alone in the world in wanting this and I thought I would ask here whether anyone else has had issues and/or success with a similar set-up. We want our day divided up into 3 time slots as follows (with the appropriate action):
- Sleep time - calls get diverted straight to voicemail;
- Home time - calls come straight through and are diverted to voicemail if they are not answered in time; and
- Work time - calls get diverted to a work number.
I have been pulling my hair out (the little that is left anyway) trying to figure out how to do this using the VFX xport interface and I cannot seem to make it work. It seems to me to be something really basic.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this (without having to install a separate PABX service - another suggestion from David).
Regards
Mark
