Hi 
are these modems reliable at hosting storage, I have a cheap NAS appliance but it would hang every few weeks or so. Anyone hosted a USB hard drive on their vodafone HG556A ? I might pick one up, heaps for sale on trademe, if not a bit pricy at the moment.

Lots of people have trouble setting this up, me for one, I went out and purchased a dedicated NAS. Have a look at this thread

thats good, the issue is peoples knowledge of file systems and networking, I was concerned the device may hang, but no reports of that.
