On my Xoom at least when I access VF's web site I always get the mobile version and there is no way to navigate the site unless I force the Android browser to pretend it's a desktop browser.

Interesting though when on the home page of the mobile site, if you click the T&C's you get presented with the full site and if then you click the Business tab you get the full site experience. But as soon as you click personal you get the mobile home page and I cannot see any way to browse the full personal site from there.

I don't see that from my Xoom. Just a message about T'is the Season to be Jolly and a link to download the android app.

This is from http://m.vodafone.co.nz/

I don't on my Xoom using either the stock browser or FF. Where it should display under Get Music there is just blank space below which there is a You are here:

But I see it on my Nexus One. I also tried my wife's Transformer that that browser seems to send a UA String of a desktop browser so VF displayed the desktop version of the site. As an aside the Herald also displayed the desktop version.

Must be something strange with the browser on Xoom (or Honeycomb).

It's not a solution, but a workaround it would probably to bookmark

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/?redirect=false

as the link to the Vodafone website. That should drop a cookie which keeps Vodafone's website in desktop rendering mode.

Okay, weirdly I don't see the link on a Samsung Galaxy Tab, when in Landscape mode (no matter how much I scroll up and down the screen), but I do see it in Portrait mode.

Not sure what that's all about...

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Good tip. What I have been doing is going into debug mode on the browser and sdetting the UAstring to desktop. That forces all sites to go into desktop mode.

I see why it's hiding the link - the mobile site is designed to dynamically change with different screen sizes.

It results in the link being hidden if:

* your screen width is above 768px, and
* your screen height is below ~670px, which is possible since tablets are now at 1024x768, and controls take up some of the screen.

To the web designer: modify media type declaration to fix this at the certain resolution, or change it so that body has a min-height of around 650px.
