It seems that the Dominion Post has taken an interest in Freitasm's initial experiences of Vodafone's HSDPA.

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, gets launched tomorrow in the way of data plan caps and pricing.

Hmmm. Not sure about being the Bill Gates here. There are a lot of candidates and some good ones... But let's see how this Vodafone thing turns out.

Tomorrow we will find out more. I have a meeting with their national product manager and then the drinks for the official launch. More to come...

Ugh... bizarre headline, surname spelt wrong and a factual error I believe (the importation of the card). It was a bit of scoop too, but it doesn't look like the Dompost understood that.

The card is imported, and it's from the UK. If you check the antenna it's blue (O2 colours), which is not the usual Sierra Wireless red (the colour change is because O2 wanted it to be different Vodafone's red).

I can't say exactly who arranged that card to me, now, can I?

I know, I know... but the correct way to put it would've been something like "an imported card" without referring to whoever it was that actually brought it into the country.

May seem like an inconsequential thing, but I believe in getting things right as much as possible.

I was going buy the paper today, but when I went to check the mailbox I found a free copy - they are giving away free prints in this area today. Nice!

What kind of Geek runs Windows XP on his laptop? Any self respecting geek would have an obscure linux distro that supports absolutely nothing. </ends trolling>

Any way good to get some more exposure there.... the first decent article i've seen from DomPost/Stuff

Better create a new thread to discuss those...
