Does anyone think telstra is likely to compete with the ufb network within its cable areas?

it has the network that can compete better than dsl...

Yes it would still be cheaper for them to use their own network than pay for wholesale access to the ufb network.

I suspect they will offer mid range price for good performance and basically target the same market they target now for ADSL2+ in their non cable areas.

Telstraclear are the 2nd largest ISP after Telecom, they are a well known and trusted brand.

I don't think they will compete on price, they would never be able to match the lowest cost lower performance providers like Slingshot.
