Hello guys and gals,

Not sure if this issue has been raised before (if this is a widespread issue or just affecting myself) but the vodafone android app widget where it tells you your account, txt, min and data balance is not working anymore.  The widget just displays "There is no data available for this connection" and there is no refresh button to refresh the widget.

Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just me? Only changes to my vodafone account recently was changing from the $6 best mate to NZ best mate which is included in my smart 45 plan.

checked, works fine on my defy (smart 45)

the widget will automatically update once you tap the widget or you can tap on the little circle in the bottom right corner to refresh

can you browse the internet?

Widget works fine for me on my Ideos U8150. I do sometimes notice it says it has no connection, but then I just tap the widget and it eventually refreshes.

When you boot the phone, I think it tries to get it's data before the data connection is active, and there doesn't seem to be an auto refresh, so if it doesn't connect that first time it just sits there with no info until the refresh button is pressed.

I think they need to change the app to wait for a data connection at boot and maybe refresh the data automatically every hour or so.

I widget should pretty much live otherwise it's not really worth being a widget :)

Thanks guys for the reply, looks like its only me that its not working.

It doesn't have that refresh circle nor my cell phone number below the widget for me to press.

Perhaps I will try uninstalling the app and resinstall it and see if it makes a difference.

Are you sure you are using the official Vodafone one not the 'Vodafone NZ Widget' by Mathew Winters
