Background: I have a Wavecom GSM modem.  If I put a 2Degrees SIM it sends SMS fine, similarly if I do the same with a Vodafone SIM.

With some help from johnr, I ported my 022 number onto my Vodafone SIM, however my modem will not send/receive SMS now and I have no idea why.  What makes it more confusing is if I take that SIM out and put it in a budget Nokia, it sends/receives fine.

What's changed that my modem won't send/receive now?

Works fine in a handset, I checked SMS router logs for when SIM is in the modem and the SMS don't even reach the SMS Routers

And you configure the SMS Center number in the modem?

Why you port to Vodafone? You should have moved to BiddleCom -- I heard the CEO really goes the 'extra-mile' and even provides support to customers :P

Was up quite late last night playing around, and it seems yes, the issue was the SMS center.

Weird as I haven't had this issue with either "normal" 2degrees or Vodafone SIMs.
