Here is an interesting idea. How about if certain ISP's that wanted to, could provide their account holders to get unlimited point to point traffic nationally (between two IP addresses, or two account). It could be capped to a reasonable speed of course, it would be an add on charge (like for Telecom Favourites, or Vodafone BestMates), and it may even have to be for within their own network (to start off with at least).
This would make great use of national traffic, while hopefully maintaining a reasonble allowance for speed for other users on the same ADSL line (or other type of line). You could remotely access or monitor from one place to another (RDP/video surveillance), even be able to stream things from another place with ease instead of worrying about chewing up your data quite rapidly, seeing as we don't get any free/cheap national data.
I'm with Xnet, so I'd be really fond if they could take my idea and make use of it first.
