Hi guys, I'm having a few problems getting VFX voip ticking on the Vodafone HG556.  I'm using the guide below replacing the 2talk for Xnet settings.  No luck.  Would anyone be able to help? :(

To start, plug the cable into the PH/FAX port, not the PH port

1. Login using the vodafone admin details

user:admin
pass:VF-NZhg556

2. Goto Voice->SIP->SIP Server
SIP Server (dropdown) = Primary Server
SIP Proxy Server Address = pan.wxnz.net
SIP Proxy Server Port = 5060
SIP Registrar Server Address = pan.wxnz.net
SIP Registrar Server Port = 5060
SIP Service Domain =pan.wxnz.net

Click "Save" (do not click Save/Reboot)

3. Goto Voice->SIP->SIP User
SIP Account = SIP 1
Enable Flag = Enable
DO NOT TICK "Active SIP Account"
SIP ID = your phone number minus the leading 0
User Name = your phone number minus the leading 0
Password = your MYVFX password
Leave all other settings as is

Click "Save" (do not click Save/Reboot)

Now, it may autocorrect and put vodafone.co.nz on the end (mine did), just re-type and save again.

4. Leave web admin open, then Telnet to your router
user:admin
pass:VF-NZhg556

Type this into the prompt:

voice set all enable (then enter)
save (then enter)

This part sets that "Active" checkbox in the webadmin that refuses to tick

5. Comitting your changes
Now go back to your web admin and click save/reboot.

6. Check your changes
You can check your changes by telneting back in and typing:
voice show (then enter)

No!
Will be listed in your open VFX credentials. Another random set of characters like the password.

Ah thanks.  Can't seem to track it down, will contact Xnet.  Looks like it may be a tough one.  Linking up my pap2t might be another option..

Did you sign up for OpenVFX? If you did you will get an email from provisioning@wxc.co.nz (I think) which includes your username, password and AuthID.

Ah I initially signed up for Fusion which came with MyVfx?   Have dropped the broadband.  Only a username and password, will chase them up, thanks!  Not a good start :)

Unless you specifically request OpenVFX, then you have to use one of the approved pieces of equipment, and have told Xnet the model and MAC address.

If you use anything other than that exact device, it won't work.

You will need to contact them and get changed to OpenVFX, and they will send you an email with all the login details you need.
