I swapped from telstra / telecom to vodafone to get a bundle package and a better deal.
My speeds were average for the area I live (outside red zone)
Typically 8mb/s up and 70mb/s up and 20 ping with interleaving off (lost of gaming!)
When I change to vodafone, I get about 6.5 mb/s and 60mb/s up with 50-60 ping. Interleaving is on, but not so much gaming. Then along comes BF3..........
So, a little disapointed in the speed drop but not something Im concerned about. Ping however is not good.
So after 3-4 months on vodafone, I call them to turn interleaving off. The phone was answered within 10 seconds (looking good). 'Can I get interleaving turned off?' 'Yes sir, and it will be done within 24 hours'
And thus in 24 hours it was done.......
Now the impressive bit.....
Checking the router, I noticed it was connected at 16mb/s. Unusual.
Checked speedtest.net. Result:
WOAH!!
Now, interleaving alone doesnt do that - has something else changed? Has Pukekohe entered the 21st century and been red zoned?
Loving it :-)
