I recommened a friend to Xnet.. he brought a SRP527..

We connected up, all connected to internet all fine.. 6mb download speed

Then I put in VXF setting.. checked phone line.. got dial tone.. all good..
Then the modem downloaded the firmware update.. & rebooted..

Now.. the modem won't connect to internet.. no Internet IP address assigned?

Strange.. any ideas?

my connection died (Wellington) about the same time. Rather frustrating as I was in the middle of something and Worldxchange have no support at that time. I rebooted my modem/router at 6:30 this morning and, although it took a while, I have a connection again.

Hello guys,

Unfortunately there was an outage in the Wellington area from 23:00 that lasted until around 01:15 that affected internet and VOIP services.

Hi Guys,

This was our fault for not posting on the MOTD, this was a planned outage by Chorus affecting some fibre access in Wellington, this was missed by the teams putting it up on the MOTD for the customers, a bad mistake on our behalf and I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused, If you have any issues please talk to the Help-desk team so they can get on to it straight away, the work shouldn't carried out last night should not affect customers after it was completed.

Approximately 2 x 1.5 hour break in service between 01/03 23:00 - 02/03 06:00 due to fibre diversion into new cable section.
