A friendly heads-up to anyone who took the free HD Ticket deal over Xmas and was wanting to cancel it once the deal is over and not pay $20 a month for HD SoHo. I was just logging another T-Box fault and figured while I was there and I was told the wait was 5 minutes I would check if the deal has expired yet for me. So 25 minutes later I get through and am told it will expire in 5 days and they require 30 days notice to remove the HD Ticket so I can schedule the removal of the HD ticket for next month now. For me this means it cost me $10 because it takes 30 days to remove a service it take a day or two to put in. If you wanted to remove SoHo and the ticket it could cost you a lot more.
So if you are planning to cancel SoHo and/or the HD ticket after the promo do it asap and save yourself some money. Personally I don't see why anyone would pay for that HD Ticket rubbish but then again i'm still giving Telstra large amounts of cash monthly for television services that are only getting worse and more expensive.
