I was on a plan for $142 a month (which took months for them to figure out and stop over charging me)..

I moved into a new house and was told a $60 fee would be charged to set up at my new house. Sweet I thought. Then the next bill I get is for over $600 with charges for $300 such as (Freeview T-Box installation, T-Box 24 month Contract ETC) Wtf? I didn't cancel anything. So I fought that bill and got it back down,

Recently though, me and my partner broke up. I rang TelstraClear and asked if I could remove the phone, and change my sky plan for less channels, as I couldn't afford it anymore.

They explained to me I would now be on the $65 a month charge, and I would get a $200 fee for cancelling the phone (kept the T-Box and internet). So I said okay.

Just got a bill now for $622.38 WTF?! Does anyone at TelstraClear know what they're doing??????

$400 for T-Box 24 Month Contract ETC
$200 for cancelling phone.
$300 Freeview T-Box installation... Wtf???? Which is all up $900, but $300 got taken off.

But the person I talked to on the phone, clearly stated my bill would be $265 - 270 max. Yet I get another sky high bill. Which I know they did something wrong, but still the inconvenience of having to deal with this crap on the phone wasting my lunch hour is just so annoying.

Maybe drawing a bit of a long bow there? Either way, not really helpful for the OP

I have heard of similar instances of this happening in the past.

why on earth would it have anything to do with Sky?
Sky don't sell the tbox, or the phone line - which is what the charges are for.

It says $199 install fee with a 2 Year Contract.

On http://www.telstraclear.co.nz/residential/inhome/packages/early-termination-charges.cfm

ETF = $198 for dual service (I presume this is you break a bundle) which is ok as you where told this

the $400 t-box charge.. I have no idea as.

on http://www.telstraclear.co.nz/residential/inhome/packages/

*Free T-Box offer includes T-Box rental free for two years for customers who sign up for two years on an Eligible Plan.

but thats on a plan bundle I guess

Sky channels - Telstra Clear resells sky channels. TelstraClear customers dont have any dealings with sky at all, as TelstraClear distributes and bills for sky channels
