Zeon: Is this on the same property? Question on RBI, lets say the house was in a hollow or beneath a hill so couldn't get coverage - could you setup a repeat station with the routers in some kind of weather proof enclosure and solar power/battery to power it and a repeater down to the house?

sbiddle: If you have line of sight coverage to the other property then yes, a wireless link is an option.
If you don't have line of sight coverage it's not going to work.

gorringS: invest in some decent wifi gear. check ubnt gear on this website http://www.gowifi.co.nz .. You may require electrician to wire in some data leads to tv pole etc part from that it be assured to get your internet that distance .
RunningMan: Have you actually had an RBI installer confirm that you cannot get coverage at the location? That would be far simpler.
gorringS: The wifi gear I'm referring to will fire signal up to 50kms away so in most case it doesn't have exactly line of site. Obviously signal wont go as far it has burn though solid objects but generally if only 400m away it get signal their without a issue
Ubiquiti NanoStation M5 802.11n/a 500mW Outdoor AP/Bridge

sbiddle: Running a wireless connection between buildings is simply a wireless link.
