If we try calling the 12 digit number, it rings

Does that mean its calling the 1st 11 digits and the 12th one is redundant in the call?

@ibuksh The switch will drop the last digit/s you could dial 15 digits

Would that be the case in dialing from landline and mobile alike..?

Some providers of SIP trunks will not normalize and calls will fail. But they all should accept and normalize to allow the call through.

Yes, and I agree that 12 digit numbers are being used widely already. we have heaps of our customers with 12 digit mobile numbers

Its just that we use a 3rd party software and they have validation rules on mobile numbers in their business layer code which doesn't pass 12 digits as a valid mobile number

When we went back to them, they just said that the 12th number isn't being dialed and they referred to NAD website

So right now I am just hoping NAD would update their website and then we could get back to the software vendor and tell them they have to change their business layer logic for mobile number validation
