hey’ve I tried it out the data is awesome but no volte or wifi calling  on  new eSIM . Reinstall and swap to different phone each time call fall back to 3G . Disappointed as I’m wanting to take my work number over

didnt have a Problem with spark , one nz and 2degrees with a physical sim in my s25 or iPhone  16

Same here. I’m up to nearly 30 email messages back and forth now yet they’re still asking for more examples. It was working - it just stopped one day. Good to see I’m not the only one but they really need to get it sorted.

How is it acceptable that the headline service for these companies (phone calls) can be so broken and not able to be fixed without all this effort.

This would be like dominos not being able to sell you a pizza or KFC being out of chicken. We laugh at the incompetency when that happens.

It's probably not apparent to most customers as their phone simply falls back to 3G for calling. It will probably only become a priority for them come December when 3G is shutdown and suddenly no one is able to make phone calls. What's the bet that they still try and blame it on the handset (iPhone 16 Pro) not being compatible with VoLTE?

Well after the whole day messaging i had to send photos and list all devices that I used and do stupid speed tests . They are now sending me a physical sim for them to transfer the plan over and being told it should work since my phones all work well with a one nz sim

That's not going to work because the IMSI is still going to be mismatched...

🤦‍♀️

Not sure how to get them to understand this.

Are there any affordable unlimited mobile calling / txting plans around for a low cost? I just use this number as my alternative, fortunately, or this would be a much bigger deal.

Currently paying $17/mth for 3GB data (don't care about that) and unlimited calling / txting. Ideally could be less, given the infrequent use.

Just go straight to One NZ > $17 prepay plus with unlimited calls and texts with 1gb that rolls over.

The issue will probably fix itself as you'll be disconnected from Rocket mobile's CRM and from the network(eliminating the mismatched IMSI) into One NZ's CRM (so not an organization transfer as it's a different CRM, if it was Kogan Mobile it would be but still it's a new SIM with a new IMSI so you're still being disconnected) with a new sim and IMSI and it should just work, and if it doesn't then One NZ can actually help.

I'd argue it's a premium but you don't care about the data so it's the best equivalent.

Also side note.

The cheek!

I just put the code in from the article about enabling it on xiaomi phones, turned it on, turned to airplane mode and wifi on and made a call just fine on my mighty mobile sim.

Except they're not using a xiaomi phone.

Yes, because there is an IMSI mismatch between your last known working sim and the new one.

But this thread isn’t about Mighty Mobile - it’s about Rocket Mobile.
