Yeah, if these old incumbents like Snap can't adjust their business models to keep up with technology that allows disruptive uber-people to easily share broadband connections, then they should go out of business.

Someone should offer residential plans with a "sharing addon" that makes it all legal/ToS compliant/etc. Most of the ISP's costs are for the last mile, after all.
Unfortunately I imagine the uptake would be tiny and the support overheads would be a real headache, as once such an option was advertised there'd be a flood of non-techies trying to share with their non-techie neighbours...
