I have the hilariously funny "linksys1" but up until recently I had the awesome "linksys" the only reason I changed it was my Ipad wouldn't hold the settings on linksys!

I once got drunk and set my SSID to I_RAPE_CATS. The flatmate's girlfriend was Cat (Catherine) and didn't like it.

Even though you might find this a funny story, please remember this is a family show and the content must be suitable to all ages.

Fair point. I don't appear to be able to edit the post to remove the bit showing that may still be offensive.

Nah, just open er up and run wireshark, along with a transparent proxy (which also terminates SSL connections with a self-signed cert).  See what you reel in.  Or setup the proxy to redirect say, every 100th HTTP request which looks like an actual web page to hard core porn.

I like my wife idea of having a web cam pointing to road outside our place and having all web address redirect to a video of them in their parked car.

They shouldn't steal people's wifi!  edit: you could always substitute porn for something else

Why not redirect them to a credit card payment page.  Thats what im doing, its amazing how many people try to connect and end up being served a form showing the wifi rates and asking for their credit card number :)  my place is next to a bus stop too.

When I had the "Google free wifi" one there were lots of connections. You know what the next step was to be if I had motivation and wasnt pretty sure it was not legal...

Oh, this is gold: Doctor Who St John WiFi name...

Shame Windows Phone and Windows 8 show only the escaped version, not the actual unicode characters.
