When i plug in th phone (usb ) my phone starts displaying connecting to internet and just sits there forever loading.  All i want to do is access the photos. Is there any software i can DL for Vodafone to bypass this? Like those Skinny phones where it did not matter what internet i have. i was told i need WiFi for phone to connect to pc?

Phone is Samsung

What are you wanting Vodafone to bypass? This is a USB connection between handset and PC not related to WiFi

Have you installed Samsung Kies? You have not advised what model Samsung handset it is

Read your manual on how to connect your phone to the PC !
Is it possible you have settings on your phone or PC which are trying to use your phone as a access point?

As per above, use Kies.

has the phone been put in mass-storage mode?
If you just want to access the photos, that's usually the easiest way, isn't it?

Thanks for the info guys, sorry for not been round to reply back, just got back from the lodge yesterday thanks to the admin there and cause of our limited accounts when plugging in phone to PC it refused to install software cause i needed admin rights so presume this would of been Kies? He logged into his account and phone loaded up. Was able to send photos by email.

Will install Kies today some time today.

Don't know why you need to install kies its the most horrid software ever, I have had 3 Sammy android phones and never used it. Just ensure the USB mode in the phone is in mass storage mode and it will appear as a drive, which is probably what the lodge admin did yesterday.

Cyril

Edit, oh and USB mode is under wireless and network settings in the settings menu, although may vary on android version.

Yes I agree. It is very slow at loading up, even just to find a connection to the connected phone! Then when going into the pictures folder it starts lagging up just to load the thumbnails... grrr!
