I just don't see how we can increase data use by 5x in 5 years. There must be a point where it will slow down.

5.6 Billion subscriptions in 2019? That's just crazy. Most of the world can't afford to feed themselves, let alone watch YouTube on their iPhone.

Simple things like video clips playing in high def because it senses a fast connection, photos backing up to the web in full resolution rather than compressed, auto playing video adverts etc

We potentially consume more data jsut doing the sames tasks we have always done.

Since 4G became available my wife's data usage has doubled, it doesn't take too much incentive to find use for mobile data
