A lot of Vodafone towers lighting up with dual band L700/L1800. Those who do know when will not be able to tell you though. Watch this space between now and Christmas.

As above a number of RBI sites already have L700 / L1800 unlocked and customers using them I can't remember which ones it's no secret some are posted on the Vodafone community

Latest site was Maketu if I remember correct and that is L700 and L1800

No idea on Telecom, but Vodafone are miles ahead of Telecom in this space with speculation they'll have a couple of hundred 700Mhz sites live by the end of the year. They already have a large number of sites active.

Thanks guys,

I am guessing they wont be using 1800 in rural regions like this, will they?

No idea about Telecom, but Vodafone are. Aggregation of 1800 and 700 offers lots of potential, and since RBI connections use fixed antennas the frequency becomes less of a big deal.

if an RBI tower is upgraded to 4G  will vodafone upgrade the installed equipment on an RBI 3G plan.

i have just had an RBI install and are very happy with the speeds about  10 down/ 4 up /and ping 57 .
i am puzzled by the very slow speeds people get on RBI. I am remote rural on a tower with no fibre connection so i was expecting a lot less.
one thing i am finding is that time lapse web cameras  [ like those connected to weather stations ] will not always load. sometimes they will and sometimes not.
when i try to load them using my telecom phone as a hot spot they always load, but slower than when RBI will load them.
i have asked vodafone tech support but they have no answer
