Hi All,

I am heading off to central Europe for a few weeks in a few weeks time and wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a short term celphone plan\option?

I am with 2 Degrees so global roamong isn't really a option.

Cheers Paul.

What are you wanting with a plan? I assume pre-paid or pay as you go is all you are after.

Just get a local sim card. I have used Vodafone in the UK and Hungary without any problems, roaming to other countries in Europe, all for a lot less than my NZ provider would have been.

Local SIM is indeed the way to go. Talk to your credit or debit card provider before you depart. I've found that it can become impossible to top up a European prepaid account because our banks and card providers seem to consider all such transactions as suspect unless proved otherwise.
