They have excellent pricing in Australia as a MVNO using the vodafone network.

Well they bought the name and the customer database. I wouldn't say they took over, they don't have any bricks and mortar shops like Dick Smith had. I doubt the Dick Smith staff would see it as a take over, they don't have jobs any more.
