It is run by the same people as www stopsmartmeters org nz

I don't need to comment on the stupidity of some people.

So a local community... Has been so much against cell towers at all that they still do not have basic 3g (nevermind the conklin)

Even 4g they rant about how dangerous it is for ages.

Recently a wireless provider moved into the area. Using 60ghz backhaul and 5g radios broadcasting all around.
The same people who don't want all that high freqancy radiation that 4g has, are lapping 5ghz based radios like a free lunch.
Heck. Those same people are even offering their land for relay towers!

Call it wireless rather than 5g, and your fine! Hm. Maybe providers should do that.....

Moderators, please de linkify the above links. As having them on GZ improves their search engine reputation.

What, or who else, should we censor?

antivax - sorry - disease enthusiasts, flat earthers, white supremacists, racists, would be a good start.

"Waiheke Local Board chairwoman Cath Handley has written to Auckland Council's environment and community committee calling for an independent safety assessment of the fifth-generation service."

So, basically, NIMBY?

"University of Auckland psychology professor Susan Pockett said radio frequency emissions were linked to many health problems."

I wonder why the NZ Herald thought a psychology professor would be more qualified to give commentary than a MD?

Seriously folks...

I mean changing them from clickable HTML links into plaintext. And probably add in a space character for good measure. The idea is to only censor those links to search bots and other web crawlers.

A human will be easily able to cut and paste the link and remove any spaces.

This is not censorship. Humans can still follow by typing (as Aredwood suggests) but search engine index bots will not follow that. Which in my view is fair enough - we don't need crazy stuff going in search.
