Hi

Hope i'm posting in the right place.

I'm in Kenepuru Hospital using the free wifi for patients. But it's a bit frustrating that the Wellington hospitals firewall prevents me from accessing many legitimate websites. For instance I can get the Guardian but not NZHerald or Dominion Post. I wanted to make a donation to Wellington Free Ambulance but could only do this via my bank website. Is there any way that I can circumvent this? I know I can using data on my smartphone but I would like to use my Thinkpad 10 netbook.

Tia

Create a hotspot with your phone and connect your Netbook to the hotspot. Otherwise you may just have to wait until you're on a different WiFi network.

download the cloudflare app (1.1.1.1 — The free app that makes your Internet faster.) and then fire up the VPN that is part of it. SHould be able to get "free" access to the web.

may need to download over your data connection as it may be blocked too.

Thanks guys. I didn't add (although I suppose it is redundant info.) that this site slips thro the hospital firewall.

I'll try again with your sggestions but my morphine painkiller doesn't help.

Opera with its built in VPN is another option.
