We have some people who will be doing a series of community meetings out in the countryside, some of them well out of mobile data coverage.

I'm looking for options for some kind of satellite uplink with enough bandwidth for Zoom conferencing. So it needs to be a decent speed connection in both directions.

Renting is an option, but if it works well enough, its the kind of gear that could be useful for future projects as well.

Hi, not really, its hit and miss, if you are moving to an area that is over subscribed you are out of luck. We had a test terminal at work that we went mobile with, and to be honest it ended up a continual issue.

Maybe give these guys a call https://www.baycity.co.nz/inetvu-mobile-solutions

Likely not cheap but this is exactly what they do.

That doesn't sound ideal. They'll be visiting the likes of Marae & clubrooms to meet with communities in places like the back of beyond in East Cape.

The size of the unit isn't a huge issue, as long as its car-portable, reliable and relatively easy to use.

Facebook keeps on showing me ads for https://www.woi.co.nz/broadband/portable/ - no idea what they're like but it is a product they sell.
