Hi guys,

For the past few months, I've been getting a call from 09 870 5865 that would ring once and hang up straight away. This would happen about once or twice a month.

Calling the number back, it appears that it's Amex NZ, however they have no record or why my I'm being called (I'm on their system, I hold a card.).

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Raise it as an issue with them, and they can have the phone provider/IT guys trace back as to what it is. Don't do their work for them.

I was getting calls from 09 870 numbers as well, 8704306, 8704326 8704359 8704381.  I just ignore and there's no voice mail.  Assumed it was a scam

Could it be a setting on your phone not to allow calls from outside your address book to not come through?

Thanks, decent explanation but it's not that. :)

Might not even be them calling. CLID spoofing is often used for scam calls. I know because my number has been used as a fake number and I get the return calls and have to explain to confused people
