I have a business account with Spark, that has an 0800 number.

The 0800 number forwards to my current One NZ 021 mobile number.

I am considering moving my One NZ 021 mobile number, to Kogan on one of their plans, keeping my existing number.

Does the Kogan network support 0800 number forwarding, so that people's calls to my business 0800 number (they may dial from a NZ based mobile or land line) will forward to my 021 mobile number operated on a Kogan plan?

I asked Kogan live chat support and was only given vague "may" and "might", rather than explicit assurances it would work.

*Currently waiting to hear back from Spark NZ on a support ticket.

@spring09153 It is still just a 021 number no matter what network it is on. Makes no difference to Kogan or Spark - Spark with just terminate the 0800 number to the mobile number as setup

This is zero to do with Kogan support they are just the B party network after the 0800 number

I did hope that was the case, but the Kogan live chat support person wasn't exactly clear, they just kept referring to the fact they only support "standard calls" and wouldn't confirm whether 0800 forwarding is classed as a standard call.

Spark have since replied, confirming they do support Kogan so I shall proceed with the Kogan plan change.

Thanks

They probably do not understand why you are asking them the question.

As above Kogan would have zero idea why you are asking them about a 0800 number hosted on SparkNZ

Spark has replied ' they support Kogan ' lol odd response

Would you contact Kogan if you had issues with the 0800 number on Spark? I don't think so

Kogan is known for not supporting (or previously not supporting) a range of features most people would consider standard - and I figured call forwarding/number terminating may be one of these - hence my checking.

Everything has been ported and it is now working.
