Hey guys,

I have iTalk through my Telstraclear cable connection in christchurch.

Sometimes i get a problem where the inbound calls do not work, they just go straight to voicemail. This is pretty intermittant and generally it works fine.
I have rang Slingshot about this and they just basically blamed Telstraclear, but as far as i can tell my internet connection is extremely stable.

Would daily resetting of my connection help? Anyone else had any issues with this?

What type of router and IP phone or ATA are you using? Do you have any port forwarding in place?

I'd be interested to hear about the hardware you're using.

I have my Nokia N82 plus the ExpressTalk softphone connected to my 2Talk line. I've had situations where the N82 would not ring on incoming calls, but the softphone does. I thought it may be an N82 firmware issue. This has happened to me on a couple of occasions with different routers.

Just using the belkin wireless g router.

Its wired to the "voicebox" thingy that iTalk recommended, which is in turn connected to my phone.

The phone itself does serve as a standalone IP phone but its from China and didnt fancy trying to set it up with my poor Chinese!

I have not got any port forwarding in place, as the iTalk does not recommend this during setup!

Sorry this is rather vague re: hardware but im at work and cant reel off product numbers etc here :)

The force is strong with this one!
