Cant help you with other question, not my area sorry.
You need to find what is happening on line 2, really 2talk should have been able to tell , the question they need to ask are
1. Are both lines registered
If No then there is your problem
If Yes then what port is line 2 registered on ?
From those questions should be pretty straight forward and I as I said in the first post it will be the port being used on line 2 (5060) or port 5061 not being passed through to the ATA, haven't seen this problem before as an answer is not right this is pretty much standard faults with ATA's behind routers, but really with out the answers to my questions I cant help much past that.
Also Don are you not you a 2talk dealer surely you can solve this for him on 2talks behalf
Mav thanks for the link to the tool... though I clicked the download links and it didn't seem to go to a file, so if you have a direct link to the file itself that would be handy.
I'm a 'reseller', as such I don't have access to 2talk customer details, systems, etc. So I also don't have any access to any systems that would tell me if the guys ATA is registering on both lines.
However, if the OP can dial out then that would suggest it's registered wouldn't it?
Do you know what the url is to pull the xml config off the PAT2 is?
http://<ATA IP address>/admin/spacfg.xml ? (Note: to pull the xml you first have to be logged in as admin, if you don't know what the ip address is, use a phone on port 1 and dial ****110# and the ATA will tell you).
Might help if we got the XML file off it to have a look and see what he might have over looked.
OP, you've got 2 numbers on the same 2talk account right? You've set up each line on the ATA with the different numbers.
So...
Line 1 - 09 123 3333
Line 2 - 09 123 4444
Have you tried swapping the line 1 number with line 2, etc?
What we want to prove is if each number will actually ring on a port.
Have you also tried setting up the offending line 2 on a softphone just to prove that the number can be dialed and receive calls?
