sbiddle:
chevrolux: We have a Vodafone DSL connection in our office used just for testing. Most of which is SIP traffic and a lot of it goes to 2Talk.

Just RDP'd in to my work machine and get a very consistent ping to 2Talk. I think you have some internal network issues/congestion causing packets to be dropped.

Issue is widespread. Possibly related to an earlier fibre cut in Auckland.

So thats what i tripped over when John and i went wandering.

kornflake: a reason not to use 2talk!

Or a reason to have VoIP provider and your ISP the same.

likely.

FYI providers on NZNog were discussing BGP flapping from TCL at the time.

hardly 2talks fault at all if the ISP withdraws from the internet.

Correct me if I am wrong, but do 2Talk host both their public website and SIP proxy on the same server?

should think that everything is hiding behind routers and a load ballancer

how many customers do they have on that network now?

Doubt it's all on one machine any more, wouldn't you?
