Has anyone tried the Open Phone Abstraction Layer or Opal?  There's a windows client here http://sourceforge.net/projects/opalvoip/files/OpenPhone/ that is supposed to demonstrate voice, and T38 faxing but no instructions on how to setup.  I configured it with asterisk but my logs show it registers and then deregisters immediately every second :(
