We are currently on 2 Talks $20 plan and it works great with our VF naked broadband and provided router,

We have quite a bit of family and friends in South Africa and would like to setup a local toll number there so they can call us here in NZ to our local 2talk number.

2talk doesnt seem to offer a local toll number for SA yet, only aus, uk and usa at this stage i thing. Has anyone been able to get this going in another way yet?

A South African VoIP provider is your only real choice.

I'm using telfree. They supply a free VOIP Service.

I have a South African phone number that rings here in NZ setup on my Linksys ATA.
Really handy for getting calls from SA.

Let me know if you need any help. I set this up a few years ago and have been using it ever since.

Thanks. Some advice or guidance would be great. Do you still keep your 2talk service with this just being a number forwarded on?

Actually Im using Slingshot italk.
Have two separate phones connected to the ATA. The Linksys SPA2102 has two phone ports.

Have never got the forwarding thing to work. I think its being blocked by the VOIP Provider and they don't allow forwarding.
