I honestly don't see the point, sure you can use other apps like Skype on this, but everything else is pointless to a degree.

Hadley from www.nicegear.co.nz has one.

With one (possibly two if you really want to stretch things) everything Grandstream have ever made has been total junk. Early firmware releases for this followeed that tradition but it seems to be a nice device now.

So what would you suggest ? I asked Hadley

I use slingshots italk system which I am quite happy with, does the job

Most of my OS calls take place on skype

I get very few “landline calls”

Can I get

desk phone with answer machine and handsfree speaker

phone that does away with the ata box

preferably so I could program two voip lines one for nz and one for

au

Cisco SPA504G. Half the price and does what it says. Really don't see the point in an android based phone.

What VoIP platform are you on? No need for the phone to have voicemail if the platform does voicemail.

I am on italk I was hoping that there was a unit out there that would allow me to conduct a voip call or a skype call on the same phone

Yes I relise that you can get an answer machine faculty on the italk but i also like to monitor a call to decide if I want to talk to the person
The hassle of having to access the voicemail via the net bit clunky i reckon

I have to admit I have not seen the need for a VOIP phone, I use softphone (program on my Mac) and a wireless headset.

That setup would give you the use of Skype and the VOIP from the same place, and give you your hands free to make notes or whatever else you need doing while on a call.
