Which VoIP line/provider ? Theres a lot out there....

I use X-lite for 2talk on PC occasionally when I am not home
Sipdroid on Android
But Cisco phones are the best as always....

X-lite for PC and Mac works really well I think. I also use other softphones from Counterpath (maker of x-lite) that have more functionality.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

For iOS: Counterpath has a VOIP client that is called Bria (same name as their for-pay client for Windows and Mac). So far it looks like a good companion to 2talk (although I am having some problems with 2talk and calls coming (or rather not) in from 2degrees. But don't think that has anything to do with the VOIP app.
