X-lite isn't behaving very well, so... what else is there that's recommended? Ideally something that'll let me record calls.

Ekiga (out-of-the-ubuntu-box), Kphone, PhoneGAIM (GAIM plugin), Twinkle (my favourite), Linphone (cross-platform), MiniSIP

for recording RTP try VoIPong http://www.enderunix.org/voipong/

edit: MiniSIP is cross-platform you could give that a try in Windows
