Hi everyone, quite simple question.  Good friend needs to move away from his Huawei HG556a.  I want to take him to a Cisco SRP-521.  Is Vodafone going to let this router dial in to keep his SIP lines with Vodafone ?  Any tricks I should know first ?  sip1.vodafone.co.nz

Cheers for the help in advice.

As far as I know VF will not provide the SIP details so you have to use the VF router.

I ended up porting my numbers over to 2talk.

Thanks for the reply.  I have most of the normal SIP details but not surprised if there is a trick.  I just run some extra code on the router GUI into telling me the *****'d out passwords.  I can see VCI for voice was 104 and this is what concerns me the most atm.

Yes, Vodafone don't provide the SIP details so you're stuck using their own router. If you want to have the SIP on another device you'll need to port your number to another provider.
