anyone know a good sip client for vista.. i am pulling my hair out try to get anything work on vista..
it either clash or couldn't connect.. why is this soooo difficult Yell
I set port forwarding to 5060..

I am using X-Lite and it works well on Vista. I have my machine behind a router, I don't have any port forwarding, and I have another two SIP phones on this same network...

Try X-Lite. And if can't connect, check SIP Proxy, user name, password again.

i tried x-lite but it did not work for me..
the one that work were sip communicator and phonerlite..
but i really like x-lite UI and it features

Another popular option (for various devices) is SJPhone. Not as nice as interface as X-Lite and not officially Vista compatible, but it seems to work OK.

I have been using the SIP gadget that sits on the sidebar. Works quite well.

ok here is the lists of sip phone i remembered i tried. if anyone interested
winGizmo worked but u need wingizmo account as well
phonegain never get it to work,
linphone never get it to work
sjphone clash half way during set up
phonerlite worked
sip communicator worked
x-lite cant get it authorised my acc (401 error)
