I've put it in the VoIP forum, but I believe it originates from telecom.

Since about 7pm yesterday, at 19:01 and 19:27 we reeve vied calls from a number known to us, with no one on the other end. This happened at 20:01 and 20:27 and so it carried on until I set a do not disturb setting on 2talk.

Then starting at 13:01 today it started again. I've since blocked the number. We've contacted the owner of the number and they insist it's not them....and I'm inclined to agree given how regular it is.

Any thoughts to options? Would this be better handled from my side (2talk) or theirs (telecom). - something that may complicate things....it was our house and we ported the number to 2talk from that connection before they moved in.

How odd. Is it some remaining hardware like an alarm trying to phone home?

Didn't think of that. There was (is) an alarm, but it was never set to dial what was our house number, it was calling cellphones.

One-way speech is pretty much always going to be an issue with the NAT router/firewall configuration. Check your firewall for SIP ALG's etc.

Also, check you have your codec's set up correctly in 2Talk (under 'Voice Quality & Networking'). I normally turn off G729 & GSM and then just have G711a, G722 and the video codecs turned on.

Edit: ooo sorry. Didn't read the post properly. Sounds like some sort of dialler. Maybe old fax machine? Maybe old Alarm?

I think I'm managed to ascertain it's the alarm. Complaining about something. Can't figure out how it got the home oh is number though - since it was never originally set up as far as I'm aware.

But I was on the phone with the current owner, got him to try something on the alarm and the phone cut out. The alarm grabbed the line.
