With Skype's recent discontinuation of support for Symbian phones (thank you MS, NOT) I'm looking for a replacement for Skype out for my E7.  The E7 supports internet calling.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an alternative VOIP provider?  Note; I want to be able to call out in to the POTS network.  I'm not to fussed if the service only works when activated, i.e. I cannot receive calls unless the app is open.

2talk is a very reliable service for what you are after. And good price. I use the casual plan and its very cheap. But, the big but - you have to set it up yourself. It's not that difficult, and you'll learn some thing in the process. 2talk.co.nz

Yabanize: Or time for an upgrade from symbian?

That day will come, but not yet. Actually from my experience most other Os's are a downgrade, sure the OS seems slower than other OS's but that's more a function of processor speed and not really a reflection of the OS.

There's nothing out there that has the physical keyboard like the E7 nor does anything that I need that the E7 cannot do. I run two or three speadsheets on the E7 which would hard to run without the physical keyboard.  Also when I'm travelling the keyboard makes the phone a mini laptop that is easy to use in places like an aircraft on the tray table etc.

The E7 is for me a good second phone, when I'm overseas I put in a prepaid sim for where I am and away I go keeping the N9 on my New Zealand number.
