Hi there,

Can you please tell me if it is possible for the Samsung OS7100 to do Extension CLI? (Meaning I want each extension to show its own telephone number)

For example: I want extension 2001 to show 0125432557 and extension 2002 to show 0110124200.

Your help would very much be appreciated.

Yes & No, you can set the number in the Table of the OS7100, but whether the number is shown depends on the Telco you are with and the type of lines.

If you have ISDN lines you can pass the CLI through, if it is just PSTN then no.

With most Telcos you will need to own the number for it to be show no matter what you put in the Table.

Hi Radicall,

I have my own SIP Server,so the client is using SIP Trunks. and Yes I own the number. I did enter the number in the Send CLI Table, but all I get is the Trunk CLI witch is fine and a standard, but the Extension is not sending the CLI. I have spoken to the Importers here in SA, they showed me where to do that setup and that it should work but I've got no joy.

Any help is much appreciated.

OK. Great. Yes SIP allows more flexibility if the Telco allows for it. You will most probably find they have set the CLI on the Trunk it self.

Talk to your SIP provider.

In the Send CLI table make sure you remove the entry next to the SIP trunk Id's (8501, 8502, etc assuming standard Numbering plan). The just stick the CLI you want next to the extension and you are good to go. Also worth noting, I keep 'SIP alias' blank too as have had differing results trying to use. In theory it should work for when calling SIP to SIP but just doesn't all the time.

It does sounds like your trunk provider may be rewriting the Cli though.

Hi guys,

Okay Chevrolux, The way you are saying I need to setup the Extension CLI is exactly what I did. But still no joy.

I have my own SIP Server, meaning that I am the Trunk Provider, I am using  Free-PBX with Asterisk 11. I have removed the Extension CLI from the SIP Account provided to the client so that I don't overwrite the CLI Coming from the Samsung SIP Trunks. But it stil show's the SIP Trunk CLI.

I'm am posting some Images of my setup.

My SIP Extension is Authenticating on two Different Servers. First it auth's at my SIP Server, and then it is going to my Billing Server (On the Billing Server it Auth's with the Extension Outbound CLI, which in this case I should get a "That is not a valid account number" error because my SIP Extension is not sending a Outbound CLI at this stage, but I am not getting that error message telling me that the Samsung is still sending the 0878300618 SIP Extension number to my Billing Server)

From my Billing server I have outbound routes going to all my vendor's.

Have you had a look at the Asterisk logs? That will soon tell you what the Sammy is sending and then you can narrow down whether it is the Sammy or FreePBX.
Could take a look at your Samsung database if you'd like, just remove the SIP registration info from it before you upload.

I did have a look at the Asterisk logs, my trunk CLI is still coming through Meaning the 0878300618 is the CLI showing. Is it possible to explain to me how to from start narrowing to where the problem is.

What exactly do you mean with "Could take a look at your Samsung database if you'd like, just remove the SIP registration info from it before you upload."?

Take a download (the button is along the top of the DM tool) of the Samsung database and upload it somewhere (Dropbox etc). Just take out the SIP registration info before uploading anywhere.

If Asterisk shows the 'default' caller ID coming from the Sammy when a call is generated then the fault is within the Sammy. Again, taking a look at your database will help a lot.

Hi there,

I wasn't able to upload the .odm file, so I have renamed it to be a .jpeg, I think if you download it ad rename it back to .odm you should be able to open the file.
