Modem:- NF4V
Background:- I have 1 ongoing phone issue with my IP that is still being looked into. Even though they have 3 1/2 months of data and they still want me to keep monitoring it (my phone calls and fb messages on their fb page regarding my phone not working).
- Phone would disconnect but my net would work fine.
- I call people or people call me, people could hear me but I can't hear them.
- Engaged all the time. Though I didn't know this at the time that it was a fault. Just thought people were busy.
This happened both on the tripleplay150 they sent 3 tripleplay150 out and now on my netcomm nf4v.
Current new issue as of a few days ago ...
This is the first time I have ever had this issue that started over 3 weeks ago.
I can call anyone on my landline but 1 phone number. That number is always engaged. Govt number, you always get a message to ask you to wait etc.... but when I called always engaged. Had to fb them to call me.
I have always been able to call this number, up until 3 weeks ago. Every time I call this one number it is always engaged. Always.
I did a test over a week with another landline owner who is with the same ISP as myself and they could always call it. They got a ringing tone mine was always engaged. I would call before them and after they rang me back, I would call afterwards.
So did some reading on GZ

I saw netcomm go into my modem settings then VOIP, then he copied and pasted what was in the settings to notepad, which I quickly did a screenshot of.
Before netcomm fixed the issue.

After they fixed it so I could call the number again.

The number I was always able to call up until 3 weeks ago is Telecommunications Disputes Resolution ( TDR) 0508 98 98 98
My question is... what happened here? Why would I it be set to engaged tone? I am able to call it now thanks to netcomm. I dont call my IP now when it comes to my modem now.
TIA
Soz for the long post.
NOTE:- Everytime my phone would play (disconnected, etc) up, I assume that Slingshot did a reset? Would this reset affect the issue I had? Even though I had quite a lot of resets, just never had this issue.
