Hi, this is my first post.

I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile, and as I don't use voice calling all that often I have only a data sim installed.  For those occasions I do need to use voice I have set up a 2talk account, and I am using the phones native dialler.

Question: Is there anyway/a better way to get SMS without having to download the 2talk app?  Can this also somehow be used via the phones native message application?

Appreciate any assistance.

When I had a VF data-only SIM it was definitely capable of sending & receiving SMS too (albeit at the 'casual' rate).

Does your telco's data SIM not allow this? If not, could you tell us which telco that is?
