I have a problem that can be described as follows: An external party calling my Telecom number hangs up before receiving an answer. My SPA 3102 continues to ring even though the other party is 'on hook' ie has hung up. Can anyone assist in resolving this problem. I have 'ring thru line 1' set as yes.

Do you have all your tones set correctly to the NZ settings in the PSTN setting?

I am unsure regarding NZ parameters. Is there a site I can access to obtain these or can you advise?

There is a lot that needs to be configured on this device before it can be used in NZ incl tones, PSTN and line impedence settings.

A lot of the settings you will need are on the voipusers wiki but these are not an easy device to configure. You may also need to do a fair bit of fine tuning of the gain settings to eliminate echo.

Thankyou. I am familiar with the box (have a Sipura 3k) but this one had me stumped. As a short term measure I have set ,under the PSTN Tab, PSTN Ring Timeout = 3. This has fixed the issue for the moment but I'm not that happy. Will use the settings in the wiki however.
