Does anyone know if there are any plans to update these?

TBH, I find the voice quite raw and raspy, others using them agree. Not nice.

It would be really cool if we had a full, working, up to date set with a really nice voice (Or perhaps two or three differnt voices).

Does anyone else agree?

If so, does anyone now roughly how much getting this going may cost? We could perhaps try and get some money together to get it done, and they perhaps licence it out for commercial use or something?

Thoughts/Ideas?

I definately think it would be good. I still use Chris's initial set but am aware that there are some more than could be in there that are missing.

I did offer to record the voice prompts and make them available a while back, but no one was interested.

Zolly, can you post an audio file of your voice so we can have a listen.

I certainly think there is some interest out there. And considering the growing popularity of Asterisk I think a full working set could really improve the user experience.

Would a set of NZ voice prompts include the notification that the person has been murdered by the Teletubbies? I like to throw that on people stuck waiting for us to answer. Even if it wouldn't, I'd still be interested :)

It's a job that isn't as easy as it sounds. The hard part is recording sounds that roll together well, this is particularly noticeable when you're using numbers and reading them out.

This is where somebody with a radio voice comes into play!

ah well, this is where I can help :)

Adamj has grabbed my voice via his voicemail and will post a quick sample sometime soon.

Damn my PC's being broken at present (typing this on a laptop... man I hate laptop keyboards!) :)

Cheers,
Grant
