I currently use the 2talk app on my iPhone but find it isn't very reliable. An example is I'm never actually able to pick up a call in time before it goes to voicemail. Can anyone recommend a more reliable VoIP app for the iPhone?

Firstly, you can change your call diversion timer to let it ring longer before going to voicemail. But secondly, VoIP on the mobile networks is always a bit dodgy. Using TCP or TLS can help a bit to get around NAT issues - the 2talk app uses TLS.

Otherwise, Bria is kind of the gold standard for softphones.

Thanks - I'll have a look at Bria. The issue happens on Wifi as well as mobile networks.

I use a VOIP service from Norway with Bria on the iPhone when I am in New Zealand. Have not had problems with it, even on a fair 3G connection. But I have had lots of problems with 2talk, which is strange. Since the ping times to the Norwegian service are quite impressive (as in, +300 ms).

Are there anyone that have a good setup for 2talk on the Bria app?
