In a previous thread I asked for suggestions about a move to VoIP and based on this signed up to a 2talk account and purchased a DP750/720 phone.
Set up was pretty easy, and I was all go after about 30 mins. Not sure if call quality is as good as I expected, but its ok.
The move to a VoIP phone has had created one unexpected problem - I keep losing the handset around the house, back of the sofa, etc etc. This isn't new - same thing happened with my old phones too, but they had a handy "page the handset" button on the base unit.
The DL750/20 has a page function, but it's only exposed via the web interface - not exactly "family friendly". I would think that this must be a reasonably common occurrence with these phones and wondered if anyone had created a "find my phone" App which makes the appropriate web calls to activate the "paging" function. It's beyond me, but I would have thought not too difficult if you were that way inclined.
My quick scan hasn't shown me anything so far...
Cheers,
dave
