Hi There,

Im just following tonys guide on installing trixbox and asterix "http://myasterisk.co.nz/2007/12/12/trixbox-22-vfx-for-dummies-from-install-to-calling-in-less-than-thirty-minutes/"

and am up to the "Type ‘passwd-amp’ (never with the quotes) and enter, create password for the Asterisk management portal (AMP)"

bit

but when I type in passwd-amp in, I get the error "-bash:passwd-amp: command not found, then it starts a new line. have done this several times.

Is there anything that im doing wrong?

Read the comments at the bottom of the blog, password-amp is no longer used in the latest versions, by default its amp111. You can change it though editing the configs manually. If you start up with it as the default the management portal will post a small warning on the notice section when you log into the management portal
