I'm looking for suggestions for a VOIP handset for a senior.

Pretty much everything on PBTech etc. either looks like a mobile phone - with a thousand buttons and a confusing (and tiny) screen, or is an office PBX type device.

I'm hoping to find something that looks and feels like an actual phone - preferably with no screen, and minimum of unnecessary features.

Many thanks!

J

Could you use an  ATA and a regular phone?

I have found SNOM very reliable. I have used Snom 745 , SNom 320 and dect phone (D715) all are very reliable but expensive. As you mentioned you want something looks like a mobile phone, then go for dect phone SNOM M65. Beautiful look , almost like a mobile phone but a bit expensive.

I have also used Grandstream DP750 and its good too. If you have limited budget then i will recommend Grandstream.

I could probably find you a second hand Yealink T18. They're not a current model any more, but they still run a recent firmware and they meet your preference of not having a display at all.

Try a Google images search on Yealink T18 to get an idea of what they look like.
